Girls Rock At Science was created to engage, expose, and provide educational and mentorship resources in science, engineering, and technology to girls from underserved communities.
As an African American women with a science degree, and working in a STEM field for more than 20 years, I was disappointed in the number of women of color I saw
Girls Rock At Science was created to engage, expose, and provide educational and mentorship resources in science, engineering, and technology to girls from underserved communities.
As an African American women with a science degree, and working in a STEM field for more than 20 years, I was disappointed in the number of women of color I saw working in STEM fields and wanted to encourage more women to explore STEM careers. I believe with exposure to females in the science and technology fields, and access to educational and business resources that we can bring more women of color and young women from underserved communities to explore STEM as a possible career.
